Food photography isn't just taking a shot of dish. It's more. It's about capturing the scent and the colours. Making the food look incredibly delicious and tempting. Highlighting the textures. And creating the right mood around the dishes and ingredients to make the picture tell a story.
I have 8 years of experience in food photography and styling. I’ve photographed for restaurants and brands and for over 20 cookbooks. Food photography is one of my biggest passions when speaking about photography!
PRODUCT & INTERIOR PHOTOGRAPHY
Interiors and products always have their own story to tell. Photography can bring alive the most beautiful idea behind a product, tell the story and highlight the values of a brand, visualize the words of an interior design book and evoke an emotion in the viewer's mind.
I’ve photographed a lot of products, especially under the lifestyle theme. Interior and product photography is another passion of mine and I love to capture the beauty of small objects and big spaces. I’ve photographed for many brands, interior design books and magazines.
LAYOUT DESIGN
A good layout can be beautiful, memorable and stylish. But it also needs to make the reading experience effortless and enjoyable. A great layout brings the content to the next level and helps to create a product that is meant to last. That’s why I want to design books and brochures that you want to leave on your coffee table.
I’ve designed over 30 book layouts and dozens of brochures during my career and published 5 books of my own.
BRANDING
We all know that branding includes a lot of details from logo to colors, fonts and many visual guidelines to create a cohesive look for the brand. In addition to all of that, branding is also about finding a visual identity that supports the story and values of the brand. By choosing the right details and finding the best ideas, a good product can be transformed into a powerful, convincing and memorable brand.
BRAND FILMS
Every brand and people always have their own story to tell. Film and videos can bring alive the words and thoughts, evoke the whole range of emotions and most importantly, tell the story you want to tell. Together with a powerful piece of music, a beautiful film can say more than thousand words. Video can be the most amazing brand film or simply just a recipe video spreading joy around the world.
Food & RECIPES
In addition to food photography, I also create food and recipe content for brands and books. I have written 3 cookbooks of my own: Opiskelijabudjetilla, Vegebudjetilla and Peltiruokaa / From Oven to Table.
SOCIAL MEDIA &
INSTAGRAM consulting
In 2019 I decided to make my Instagram grow. I didn’t know much about the algorithm but I wanted to learn. In January 2019 I started with 2500 followers. My new year 2020 began with over 15 k. By February 2021 my account has reached over 45 k followers. So I learned the tricks and things you should never do in social media (believe me, there are quite many of those mistakes most of us do every day) and now I do consultation for companies and brands how to reach their full potential in social media.
